Alyson and Woody met in Manayunk, Philadelphia, a night would change their lives forever …
The place was a local bar called Castleroxx. Alyson and Woody were both there to watch the Eagles/Giants game. Woody was with a group of friends, who initited a conversation with Alyson and her friend (now bridesmaid!) Ashlee. Woody and Alyson danced around each other, stealing glances across the table. According to Alyson, she made the first move; Woody may have a different story!
They bonded immediately over country music, conversation, and the comfort of good friends.
Almost 3 years later, Woody got down on one knee in Bushkill Falls, PA to ask Alyson to be his wife. It was the best day of both of their lives. Of course, things move quickly when your heart is beating faster than a vintage sports car. Luckily, Alyson’s sister and maid of honor, Mel, was there to capture the entire moment!
When Alyson and Woody started the search for the perfect wedding venue, they knew it had to be in the Poconos. Woody spent his college days in Easton at Lafayette College; Alyson attended East Stroudsburg University. What better place to celebrate their love with all of their family and friends than one with so many meaningful memories.
Looking for wedding venues can be a stressful endeavor. However, as soon as Woody and Alyson stepped onto the Stroudsmoor property, they knew they had found the setting in which they were to become man and wife.
On June 30, 2018 Alyson and Woodrow tied the knot at on the Grand Lawn at Lawnhaven at Stroudsmoor Country Inn.
It was the most magical day of their lives. Their Stroudsmoor wedding coordinator, Ashley, helped make their vision a reality. From the flowers and the cake, to the first dance, the Stroudsmoor team helped make this day the best day of Alyson and Woody’s lives.
Woody and Alyson took the time to do their first look on property and it was an intimate moment between the two of them that they will never forget. To make their day even better, they were able to have their after-party on-site at the SCI Pavilion … and continued the party after the reception!
A beautiful wedding and reception venue set the stage for the most memorable day of their lives. Looking back, they wouldn’t have changed a thing.
