Tell us how and when you met each other. What was your first impression of one another, and at what moment did you know you’d be together forever?
We met at a bar before Brittany was 21, hanging out with mutual friends. I thought she was absolutely beautiful and was extremely nervous to talk to her so I talked to her friend to get more information about her. It was about 2 years into our relationship I knew I wanted to be with her forever.
Tell us about the proposal, share some pics, and show us your ring!
The proposal had happened during New Years of 2021 into 2022. She had covid and I couldn’t wait for it to be over. I didn’t want to wait any longer, so on New Year’s Day I proposed to her in our living room with our dogs and her mom and best friend on facetime so they could see.
What led you to Stroudsmoor Country Inn? What inspired you to celebrate your wedding with us?
I had found the stroudsmoor on the knot app. I was instantly in love with the rustic charm. My first appointment, we looked at woodsgate and terraview, or as I was told the castle. Skyler said the way my face lit up while at woodsgate especially when walking up the spiral staircase to the reception area, he knew this is where we’d get married.
What is the one menu item that sticks out above all else from your wedding celebration? What about your favorite décor detail?
Both chicken and pork were delicious! All of our guests continue to tell us how amazing our wedding was, especially the food and service!
What made your Wedding Journey with us most memorable?
Linda. She walked me through every step and helped me climb all the hurdles. Even in moments of doubt if I wanted to have this big wedding, she’d calm me down and work out a plan to get me excited for my big day all over again. The day of, I don’t think we could’ve done without Belkis. And now it feels like it all ended too soon!
What is one hope you have in celebrating your first anniversary?
I hope to be back at the stroudmoors for our first anniversary.
