JC and I met at a St. Judes charity event in Manhattan, at a bar called “Tavern on Third”. The event was put on by Business Insider, and we were attending to support our friends that worked for them. I actually picked up JC! He was tall, dark, and handsome, in his navy blue suit. As JC tells the story, “I was a tough one”. He would ask me on dates, and I would stand him up. It wasn’t until he took the train to New Jersey in July of 2014, that we fell in love.
From that moment, we were head over heels for one another.
There wasn’t just one thing that made us fall in love. That time JC took the train to New Jersey, I just knew. It is a feeling like no other, and at that moment, I didn’t want to spend another moment with anyone else.
JC and I had a wonderful day in Sonoma. Our usual, wine tasting, walking through vineyards. He had the ring in his pocket all day, but, didn’t feel like it was the right place. When we got back that evening, December 3, 2017, we made a fire in our living room, and were drinking wine. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, JC said “Will you marry me”, and got down on one knee.
Of course, I said yes!
We first chose Stroudsmoor, Terraview, because of the beauty. It is an incredible place, the entire property is gorgeous, and charming. The other thing about Stroudsmoor that is amazing, is the staff, they made it so easy for JC and I. We were able to do absolutely everything at Stroudsmoor, from the flowers, to the lodging, and they were so amazing to work with. I never felt stressed out once, which is surprising for a bride!
Our wedding day at Stroudsmoor was a fairytale.
Everything about the day was absolutely perfect, it is what you dream of as a little girl. I would not change one moment about it, and I am so thankful for the Stroudsmoor team for making our day so magical.
