Tell us how and where you met each other?
We met each other both working at Harkers Hollow Golf Course 4 years ago.
What was your first impression of one another, and the day you knew you would be together forever?
Our first date was John teaching Alyssa how to golf since he was the golf professsional. Our first impression of each other was that our interactions seemed easy and not forced. John knew he wanted to marry Alyssa when spending time with her was more important to him then his friends and independent time. Alyssa knew when his presence gave her a sense of calming.
Tell us about the proposal?
John proposed to Alyssa on Thanksgiving morning of 2020 on a casual walk with our dog Lucy. He had the ring hidden at our friends house so it was more private, yet still videoed by our friends.
Tell us what led you to Stroudsmoor and your reason for celebrating at the Inn?
After looking at several venues, stroudmoor just felt like our dream place to get married! It had the rustic woods with the fall leaves for the bride. It also had the beautiful wood for the groom!
What was the one menu and décor detail you loved most about your celebration?
Menu-scallops and chocolate peanut butter cake
Decor-twinkle lights, lantern, bouquets, elephant
What made your Stroudsmoor Wedding Journey most memorable?
We loved how the venue was just so beautiful with the natural elements that you did not need to add a lot! The beauty of being in the woods just made it feel so magical! We loved the foil of the leaves and the natural decor.
Share a hope for your first anniversary.
We hope to be more in love if that is even possible a year from now than we were on our wedding day!
