Real Wedding Sheikh/Munir Wedding – 6/30/18 Terraview
Terraview Pocono Wedding Venue
Dr. Muhammad Munir and his lovely wife, Misbah, welcomed Juwairiyyah to their family on the west coast earlier in the year when she married their son Shawn. Juwairiyyah’s parents reside in Seattle, Washington and the Munir Family is located in Pennsylvania. The families celebrated the Walima (wedding banquet) at Terraview on June 30, 2018. The planning of the Walima began in February when Farrah, Shawn’s sister, and her father visited the Inn to review the services available. They reserved a date within days and the planning continued with a wedding sampling, floral and décor design meetings, menu development and the excitement of an east coast celebration.
The wedding banquet began with a cocktail hour featuring a variety of stations and passed appetizers – including samosa, pakodas, and hara bhara kebab. The reception began with a family processional including Farrah and Omar siblings, Grandmother of the Groom, flower girls and parents of the couple. Following the processional, the couple was seated on the wedding stage . . .
The dining room was filled with the sweet smell of flowers created by the Stroudsmoor Floral and Décor Team . . .
Dinner was served to the table family-style and included saag paneer, dal makhana, jeera, lamb biryani and many other of the families’ favorite prepared by lead Chef Navjot Arora – famed for his three restaurants, featured chef at the James Beard House in Manhattan and TV’s Beat Bobby Flay. Chefs David and Gerard were on hand to ensure the service was flawless. Dessert was a table of Indian sweets and “Pink Tea” Station.
The evening was enjoyed by all and many rave reviews were received including the three following from Shawn, Farrah and the Munir Family . . .

“Thank you so much for everything. We were really happy with everything – very well organized. I appreciate all the staff being on deck and offering their support and keeping us on track. I appreciate all the work you did and care you took ever since January to make sure this worked out. I’m sorry for our disorganization and headache along the way, there was so much going on, but thankfully it all worked out great in the end! Take care and best wishes for the future. God bless you.”

“My family and I would like to sincerely thank you and your amazing staff for all of your hard work, creativity, and patience in efforts to make Shawn and Juwairiyyah’s wedding reception a beautiful and memorable event. We truly had a wonderful time and were so impressed with the décor of the venue and organized manner of the staff. Ryan and Kirsten were absolutely fantastic to work with and we are grateful to have had them there the entire event keeping things moving along smoothly. I even had an earring fiasco and Kirsten gave me the backs of HER earrings; so sweet! We received so many compliments on the venue, décor, and food and have already recommended this venue to many of our guests and families so I won’t be surprised if you receive some phone calls in the future! Thanks again for dealing with all of our last-minute requests/changes; you truly are a seasoned professional in the wedding world! Take care Linda and hope to see you again one day!”
