The Woodland Chapel at Woodsgate is the epitome of Penn’s Woods (Pennsylvania) landscape – a forest of trees including towering oaks, husky maples and evergreens of many varieties all overlook the Cherry Valley Wildlife Sanctuary. Nestled at the top of the Stroudsmoor Mountain, Woodsgate hosts the perfect Pocono Woodlands Wedding.
Couples choose Woodsgate for its two-hundred years of charm, where stone walls and Pennsylvania Slate floors create a backdrop for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the building’s lower level. Guests enjoy dinner and dancing surrounded by windows to the woods. Let’s take a walk in the woods with four couples who celebrated their Pocono Woodland Wedding at Woodsgate . . . open the album below to view their photo stories.
“Simply charming” . . . “Country elegance” . . . “Picture perfect” . . . all phrases used by guests describing their experience as they ascend the falls-lined staircase leading to the Woodland Chapel. “Green” by nature and design, the chapel is environmentally-friendly featuring recycled lumber, Pennsylvania field stone and slate. Mother Nature enhances the area with a blanket of moss, and an abundance of wildlife – who are considered welcome guests.
Winter, spring, summer or fall, each season provides the perfect Pocono atmosphere for a wedding at Woodsgate. Danielle and Ben celebrated their winter wedding encircled by thousands of twinkling white lights in the Woodsgate trees. Melissa and Thomas held their wedding in the spring enveloped by the yellow-greens of new leaves enhanced with the pinks of roses and Gerbera Daisies in their wedding flowers. In the summer, Trudylee and Vincent jumped for joy after becoming man and wife under an arbor of grapevine and Wisteria. Laura and Dave chose the fall for their wedding day and embarrassed the colors of the falling leaves in every element of their wedding theme. Winter, spring, summer or fall Woodsgate has it all . . .
