Tell us how and where you met each other?
Our story is a modern one. We met online, on Coffee Meets Bagel while we were both in medical school. We were doing our clinical rotations in hospitals near each other and were talking on the phone for about a month before our schedules allowed us to finally meet up for a date.
What was your first impression of one another, and the day you knew you would be together forever?
From the start, every conversation was so genuine and comfortable. It was so easy to talk to one another that we spent 4 hours in deep conversation on our first date without realizing how much time had passed. Jaadeep found me to be outgoing but still with some shyness inside and I immediately fell in love with his eyes and how expressive they were.
Soon after we started dating, I found out that I was moving to Chicago for my job. While I was unsure about a long-distance relationship, Jaadeep was confident that, while our love was new, it was strong and we would overcome the distance. We knew then that if we were able to sustain our romance over this long distance, we would be able to make it through anything.
Tell us about the proposal – show us the ring?
On an early November morning, in the Chicago cold, we were taking a walk along the lakefront to enjoy one of our few days off together. As we sat on a bench, wrapped in a blanket with our coffee, Jaadeep pulled out the most beautiful ring as the sun was rising over the water. He asked me to spend the rest of our lives together, and the rest is history!
Tell us what led you to Stroudsmoor and your reason for celebrating at the Inn?
When planning our wedding, celebrating at the Stroudsmoor was the easiest decision we made. Growing up on the East Coast, my family and I spent many weekends at the inn while exploring the Pocono area. When choosing a venue we knew that Terraview would provide us with the most beautiful backdrop to our fairytale wedding.
What was the one menu and décor detail you loved most about your celebration?
We were so fortunate that the weather cooperated with us for the big day. The combination of beautiful floral arrangements with a dramatic arbor arch set the most perfect backdrop to our ceremony. We will continue to look back on this beautiful day in all the photos for many years to come.
What made your Stroudsmoor Wedding Journey most memorable?
The wedding planning process is filled with many small details and it can be overwhelming. The staff at Stroudsmoor took every fear and stress away. Every staff member was ready and available to assist with every need. From last-minute safety pins to ensuring timing and set up of all our events. The coordination of our wedding day was done perfectly, and all we needed to focus on was enjoying our special day with family and friends.
